This film is about Alexandra Rose who’s life didn’t turn out the way she imagined. She was a teacher, but at some point went on to work for her mothers company, Rose Cosmetics. In preparation to see her family and friends she rehearses all the dreaded questions that can possibly come up. Elizabeth her mother reveals that her cancer is back, and this time it’s not going away. Her mom passes, and her and her siblings meet with a lawyer to go over her last will and testament.
Nearly everyone is sure the company is going to be left to Alex. However to everyone’s surprise, it’s left to her sister and law and she is fired from the company.
The lawyer gives Alex a private message in an envelope from her mother. In it is a list and a DVD that she plays on her boyfriends xbox”.
While her mom was getting her affairs in order she then found her daughter’s life list. She’s worried her daughter has lost sight of her dreams and aspirations.
“i want you to live your best life. you have to got to get out of that hole your in”
She gives her a task to complete her life list. Each time she completes an item, she gets a new DVD of her mother and then finally a red envelope. But here’s the kicker, it has to be completed by New Year’s.
In no time Alex flies nearly completely through the life list. finding her way back to things she once had passion for and conquering her fears, and learning new things.
She learns that sometimes life doesn’t turn out looking how you thought it would, but that’s okay. No one has everything figured out.

Honest Review of The Life List
I found the movie to be really insightful. The message inspired me to create my own life list. Though I feel they could have left out her dating the first two guys because honestly, I forgot about them halfway through. Being involved in three relationships in such a short time was a bit rushed. I think she should have just started off single and continued to have a slow-burning relationship with her lawyer. The rest of the time could have been spent showing her checking things off her list. At a certain point, the list items were flown through, and we only saw a few second clips of her completing those things it would have been more interesting. Overall good movie I definitely recommend.
